Setting Up Outlook

For instructions on how to install the Microsoft Office 365 suite of apps, including Outlook, see the Install Office 365 apps from the web knowledgebase article on the Darden Service Desk portal.


The first time you open Outlook, you will need to configure your Darden email. On the initial window, enter your Darden email address and click Connect:


If you get the Advanced setup window, select Exchange:



Note: If you see the below window, it is very important that you uncheck the box for “Allow my organization to manage my device”. You can click OK to automatically sign into the other Office apps with your Darden credentials; if you would prefer to sign into the other Office apps with a different account, click “No, sign in to this app only”:




Once your Darden mailbox has been successfully added to Outlook, you should see this window; uncheck the box to “Setup Outlook Mobile on my phone, too" and click Done:


Outlook will now begin making a local copy of your mailbox. You can see the progress at the bottom of the Outlook window:


While the local copy is being created, you may notice missing emails or calendar items. Once the local copy has completed, you will see “All folders up to date.” at the bottom of the Outlook window and any previously missing emails or calendar items should now be there:
